• Where is Espelt Winery located?
  Espelt Winery is based in Vilajuïga. However, our wine tourism activities take place at two different locations depending on the experience:
  Mas Espelt (Vilajuïga) and Mas Marés
  (Roses, Cap de Creus)
• Do I need to book in advance?
  Yes, all bookings are made through our website. Your place is only confirmed once the purchase is completed. If you experience any difficulty paying from outside Spain, please get in touch and we will provide our IBAN for a bank transfer.
• Are the visits available in English?
  Yes, our guides also speak Catalan, French, Spanish and Italian.
• What is the difference between Mas Espelt and Mas Marés?
  They are two distinct locations. Mas Marés in Roses is a 170-hectare estate within the Cap de Creus Natural Park, offering an immersive outdoor experience in a setting of extraordinary natural beauty. Here you will taste Anna Espelt’s signature wines, paired with local products from sea and mountain. Mas Espelt in Vilajuïga is our main wine tourism venue — a traditional farmhouse with full facilities and indoor space, ideal for days when the weather is less cooperative. Wines tasted here are the top Espelt Viticultors range, paired with local charcuterie and cheeses.
• Can we bring children?
  Yes, children are welcome, though the activity and its content is designed for adults. Our venues have outdoor spaces where children can play freely nearby. You are also welcome to leave the little ones at the winery shop with our team member, who will look after them while you enjoy the visit.
• Are there activities in autumn / harvest season?
  We run activities all year round, thanks to our indoor facilities at Mas Espelt and the Wine Bar. In autumn we celebrate one of our most beloved traditions: the Old-Fashioned Harvest Festival, where you can pick grapes by hand, tread them with your feet, and taste the freshly pressed must. The celebration is rounded off with sandwiches, fruit, wine and live music.
• Which wines are tasted on the visits?
  At Mas Espelt we taste Quinze Roures, Pardells, Comabruna, Les Elies and Airam. At Mas Marés visits we taste Escumós Anna Espelt, Pla de Tudela and Cala Rostella.
• Can we get there by train?
  Vilajuïga has its own train station, with connections from Barcelona, Sant Celoni, Girona and Figueres. From the station to the winery it is a pleasant 20-minute walk. If you would rather not walk, we can arrange a taxi to pick you up and drop you off. Find more information here.
